Thankfulness

Our trip to Ohio was a bittersweet one this Thanksgiving. While we enjoyed our time with family and friends, we also somberly rejoiced in Pa's homecoming to heaven, where he spent Thanksgiving with Jesus this year. How sweet it is know that our citizenship truly is not in this world and have hope in knowing that I will one day see my loved Pa again!

We wanted to share with our families the name we picked out of our little guy. It was very important to me that Pa knew his great grandson would carry on his name. We've decided to name him Abraham (Abram) Milan.

It was so wonderful to spend some time with our families over the week, although our times together always seem too short. We were very blessed by Nate's family and the baby shower his sister and mom threw us! We all had a great time hanging out together. Nate's sister, Nicole, is expecting again, so being with her while we are both pregnant was extra special! Then, we came back to Avon to celebrate Pa's life and Thanksgiving together.

I love my siblings! No matter how old we get, fun times always ensue when we're together!

Family gatherings are never complete without two things: a family picture...

...and a game of Pinochle!

Most of all, this Thanksgiving brought me back to the overwhelming love I'm given by my heavenly Father! The one who willingly sacrificed his own Son for me, who pours grace over my life daily and who provides me with a loving husband and family. I am so thankful!
